Institute for Innovative Teaching

Welcome!

Founded in the spring of 2023, the SNU Institute for Innovative Teaching bridges education's theoretical and practical aspects. With a team of seasoned educational leaders, the institute is committed to transforming Christian education.

The institute offers workshops and training in Project-Based Learning, Design Thinking, and Social-Emotional Learning. It integrates these methodologies in training sessions and undergraduate and graduate programs, always viewed through a biblical lens.

Project Based Learning

This talk will focus on how the Lab School uses the design thinking process beginning with empathy to connect with an iterative human-centered design approach that gives students the freedom to practice applying a growth mindset as they develop grit and persistence.

Social Emotional Learning

This talk will focus on the areas we assess as it relates to applying the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
