Joy Walk! (Annual Fund)
Each year the Lab School celebrates its anniversary by honoring its founder, Dr. Joy Beaver, with a walk bearing her name. This event serves as our annual fund and the proceeds from the event help to offset the price of tuition.
SNU Lab School is competitively priced to be an affordable private school option. Tuition and fees cover approximately 85% of our operational budget and we are left to fundraise the remaining amount. This is our major annual fundraising event. The Joy Walk also helps us build community by providing volunteer opportunities for our parents and students, allowing everyone to participate in the financial growth of our school as we model fiscal stewardship and servant leadership.
Tuition Assistance (Scholarships)
This effort is designed to help secure private charitable financial support for the purpose of providing scholarships to qualified Pre-K to 8th-grade students who would otherwise be unable to attend SNU Lab School.
The Case for Support
SNU Lab School is competitively priced as an affordable private school option. Tuition and fees cover approximately 85% of our operational budget. Donations and fundraising cover the remaining 15% of the budget and any financial assistance to students.
Nearly 20% of our families requested scholarship assistance for this school year. The average scholarship award was $3,000.
Opportunity Scholarship Fund
The Opportunity Scholarship Fund (OSF) allows businesses to offer life-changing opportunities to lower-income students who would not normally receive a pathway to private education. OSF provides private schools in Oklahoma a way to offset tuition without taking any funds from public schools.
