Before/After Care Program
The Before/After Care Program is a safe, fun, and caring environment for our students. A variety of supervised games, crafts, and enrichment opportunities are offered, as well as snacks, scheduled homework time and daily opportunities to socialize with friends. It is licensed by DHS as a childcare program. It is an extension of the SNU Lab School and is a well-loved service of our parents.
Before/After Care is a business and as with all businesses, certain guidelines must be followed and all obligations met. We believe these policies will protect this service and ensure that the children who attend will be well cared for and safe while at Before/After Care.
Enrollment
The program is open to all Lab School students. An enrollment form must be filled out and turned in for your child to be considered enrolled in Before/After Care. (This applies to full-time students or drop-in students.)
Staffing
All staff undergo a background check and meet or exceed all requirements set by the state of Oklahoma’s DHS and SNU Lab School. The program maintains a staffing ratio of one adult to ten children at all times. In addition, the DHS inspectors visit the programs regularly.
Times of Operation
Before Care: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
After Care: 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
School Calendar
Before/After Care will follow the regular school calendar. However, Before/After Care closes at noon on Modified School Days. No Before/After Care is available when school is not in session (i.e. Labor Day, Fall Break, etc.).
Breakfast/Snacks
Breakfast for Before Care students is provided daily. Cold cereal and milk are always available. Three days per week a hot breakfast option is made available. Snacks are provided for After Care students daily.

$5 Hourly Rate (Default Selection, registration form required)
AM - 1 hour (7:00 am - 8:00 am)
PM - 1st Hour (3:16 pm - 4:15 pm)
PM - 2nd Hour (4:16 pm - 5:15 pm)
PM - 3rd Hour (5:16 pm to 6:00 pm)

Additional Information
After 6:00 pm the rate of $1 per minute will be applied. It is imperative that you communicate with us in a timely manner if a situation arises where you need to extend beyond the 6:00 pm time frame. During Child Care hours please call this number 405.717.6214. We will begin calling the emergency contacts on file at 6:00 pm. (Note: If we are unable to contact anyone before 6:30 pm, we will make an abandonment call to the police as required by DHS.
