The SNU Lab School is committed to nurturing each student academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. If you would like help determining which services best support your child, please contact our Student Services Office.
At the SNU Lab School, every student receives a whole-child Individual Learning Plan (ILP) as part of our universal support model. An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is a personalized roadmap designed for every student at the SNU Lab School. The ILP outlines each child’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual goals and identifies the strategies teachers will use to support whole-child growth throughout the year.
Unlike intervention plans, the ILP is universal, meaning every student receives one—not just those who need additional services. It reflects our commitment to honoring individual strengths, understanding learning needs, and providing a tailored, developmentally appropriate learning experience for every child.
An ILP typically includes:
A student’s learning strengths and areas for growth
Academic goals aligned with curriculum standards
Social-emotional and spiritual formation goals
Classroom accommodations and supports
Progress monitoring checkpoints
Collaboration between teachers and families
The ILP serves as the foundational support plan for all students, while additional intervention layers (such as the Student Support Plan—SSP) are added only when a student needs more targeted or intensive support.
In addition, we offer expanded intervention services for students who need more targeted or intensive support, outlined in the Student Support Plans (SSP) section below. If you would like help determining which services best support your child, our Student Services Office is here to assist.
Cost: Included for all students
Every student receives appropriate accommodations through their ILP. Supports include:
Mental Health Check-ins
Assistive tools/technology
Sensory supports
Visual cues and schedules
Executive-function scaffolds
Cost: Free (Based on qualifying assessments and federal eligibility)
Through collaboration with local public schools, our students may receive targeted academic services and support from Title I or Title II funding streams.
A Student Support Plan (SSP) is an individualized intervention plan designed for students who need support beyond the universal Individual Learning Plan (ILP) that every SNU Lab School student receives. While the ILP outlines core goals and supports for all students, the SSP provides an additional, more targeted layer of services for students who require intensified academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or developmental support.
SSPs align with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and may meet eligibility requirements for the Lindsey Nicole Henry (LNH) Scholarship. The plan is created collaboratively by the Student Services team, teachers, and families based on identified student needs.
An SSP typically includes:
Targeted goals based on student-specific needs
Frequency and duration of services (days per week, minutes per session)
Specialized academic, behavioral, or SEL interventions
Progress monitoring tools and timelines
Collaboration expectations for home and school
Any recommended partner services (e.g., speech therapy, counseling)
Purpose: The SSP ensures that students who require additional help receive consistent, structured, research-based support tailored to their unique learning profile. It clearly communicates the plan of action, the services provided, and how progress will be measured.
Cost: Tiered pricing based on services, hours, days per week, and intensity. (Pricing determined by Student Services to align with LNH eligibility guidelines.) SSPs are individualized plans for students requiring support beyond the ILP. These may include academic, behavioral, or SEL interventions aligned to MTSS tiers and LNH requirements.

Services may include:
Small-group or one-on-one academic intervention
Skill-specific remediation

Each SSP is placed within a support range, determined by how much of a student’s day requires targeted intervention. Student Support Plans (SSPs) are tailored to meet the individual needs of students who require support beyond the universal ILP. Because each learner’s needs are unique, SSPs are offered in tiered levels based on the percentage of the school day a student requires targeted intervention or specialized support.
Our services may include:
Targeted academic intervention
One-on-one or small-group instruction
Executive-function and organizational support
Behavioral coaching and self-regulation strategies
Social-emotional skill-building
Reading and math intervention (including NILD or Lindamood-Bell)
Speech-language services through partner providers
Consultation-based occupational therapy (when available)
Progress monitoring and data reviews
Home–school collaboration and coaching
These services may be combined to create a customized plan that reflects the student’s needs and the family’s goals.
Price Range: $1,000 – $4,000 per year
Designed for students who need short, targeted, or occasional intervention.
May include:
Brief academic intervention sessions
Periodic behavioral or SEL coaching
Executive-function check-ins
Occasional small-group or one-on-one support
This level supplements the ILP without requiring daily intervention blocks.
Price Range: $4,000 – $9,000 per year
Provides consistent support across one or more areas of need.
May include:
Daily academic intervention sessions
Regular SEL or behavioral support
Structured executive-function coaching
Weekly NILD, LMB, or specialized intervention sessions
Ongoing progress monitoring
This level reflects a more scheduled and predictable intervention plan.
Price Range: $9,000 – $15,000 per year
Reserved for students who need substantial intervention throughout the school day.
May include:
Multiple academic intervention blocks
Coordinated behavioral and SEL support
Frequent one-on-one skill remediation
Collaboration with partner therapy providers
Intensive progress monitoring and adjustments
This is the highest level of support available under the SSP model.
If a student requires 50% or more of the school day in direct intervention, supervision, or specialized support, this exceeds the structure of an SSP and may require:
A different placement
A more intensive program
Additional evaluation for higher levels of service
This ensures students receive the appropriate environment and support model needed for success.
